Difference between Bandridge SVB-7725 and VSB-7725?

Post by ASDR »

The SVB one is the one discussed in the MyLifeInGaming switcher episode and the one that has the trace cut recommended here for the voltage leak / input 5 issue. From what I can tell, the only difference with the VSB is that it is less patriotic (no eagle on the package :() and doesn't say the model number on the back. I guess the buttons feel a bit different. I quickly hooked it up and routed my entire setup through it, from what my aging sensory organs can tell there's absolutely no degradation of audio or video. Is this simply the 7725 for freedom haters?

I did some more comparisons, they both seem just fine. The SVB comes with a manual, the VSB has those little rubber feet that you can attach and will fit into the depressions at the top of another switch, in case you want to stack them (I do). I'll send the VSB back. I use both SVB switches daisy chained. Works like a charm, absolutely no A/V issues, and the SVB was just 19EUR from Amazon. Great switch boxes, highly recommended.
