Anyone have an Nt mini for sale?

Post by Windfish »

It seems that Analogue is too focused on the Super NT to replenish stock of the Nt mini. Anyone have one (a black one, preferably) for sale?

I'm holding out hope that one of two things happen after the Super Nt's release:

1. Kevtris releases a jail break that adds in the NES core to the Super Nt.

2. Analogue releases a more affordable NES offering similar to the Super Nt.

Either one I'd be happy with, provided all the functionality stays the same.

^2 would be ideal, but 1 would be fine as a temporary solution as I wait for the Nt mini to be resold. As somewhat of a collector, I like having the physical games and being able to play them on a console. Using emulation cores is convenient, but it just wouldn't "feel" right. In addition, I have heard that getting into SD Cards with lots of roms on them can be slow.

Another option is RetroUSB's AVS. I had been on the fence about the AVS but I learned that a recent firmware added support for custom palettes, which was one of the commonly cited limitations of it.

I may have to settle for the AVS, but my heart's set on that beautiful black box, haha.

I had been eyeing the black one but couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. Like you, I waited too long. I might still pull the trigger if they get more in stock.

I ordered an AVS and am looking forward to it, in part due to the ability to use FBX's and nakedarthur's palettes and the sprite count toggle.
