okay, I fixed a flatscreen tv that i think got hit by lightning. I replaced one of the backlight inverter boards because it was damaged, then i recapped the power supply because a couple capacitors were blown.
I also replaced the main input board because the old one was causing glitches on screen.
Now, the tv works GREAT except for one thing.
Audio works fine, but every so often the speakers pop. Its not a bad glitch, but it is a little annoying.
I almost feel like just using external speakers instead of trying to figure it out, but im wondering if they will just do the same thing.

Re: Tv has audio noise
I highly suspect that those speakers have been physically damaged. The other possible culprit would be the audio power amplifier.
If you use an external speaker and amp the problem will almost certainly go away. Try not to connect audio to the tv at all. If you are using HDMI, then instead of connecting hdmi to the tv and then taking the TV’s audio output to the external amplifier, instead use an hdmi audio extractor and connect the output of that directly to the external amp.
