In my search for an easy arcade setup, I found the Pandora Box. Did not find a thread about it in here, so opened this one.
Apparently an easy-to-use PCB filled with tons of 90's games, set in a solid box with 2 arcade controllers, plug and play into HDMI and VGA. Price is quite reasonable in the $200 range.
This site seems to be the official one, and sells many variation (not sure how the site works yet) :

Many questions come : quality of the arcade sticks/buttons ? Lag (other than the one caused by your monitor) ? Possibility of adding/removing games ? Possibilities of upgrade to more recent emulation (Cave games seem to stop at DDP Dai Ou Jou for instance) ?
Any comments appreciated, feel free to discuss anything Pandora Box.

Re: Pandora Box
Buttons/sticks are Sanwa clones according to this person: http://www.instructables.com/id/Pandora ... oystick-U/
Comments on this article mention some bootlegs, not sure what to make of that https://geekculture.co/geek-review-pand ... e-console/ (Since it's produced in China and has hundreds of games on it, it's basically already a bootleg right?)

Re: Pandora Box
Oh, shame about the joystick/buttons not being Sanwa, the person reviewing it says "the controls do not feel the same as on arcade cabinet". This does not seem hard to replace though, but adds to the cost.
What I'm not sure of yet, is the possibility to add/remove games.

Re: Pandora Box
Thanks Charlie. Lots of infos in here for sure. Can you develop a little the whole 'pi in a stick' thing ?
