Raging Decide.
Is this confirmed?
Yes, just look at the track list on the back of the DoDonpachi/ESP Ra.De. OST. One of the tracks is called "Raging Decide." :D

How do YOU pronounce ESPRade?

I tend to go with E.S.P Ra.De, but most people just go with the one word, esprade....

I go with the japanese pronounciation, which is the one word version, ignoring the dots.

They actually do that?
IIRC ESP is short for Extra Sensory Perception (which is a description of the psychic powers both heroes and villains have in the game), and ít´s been established that the RA. DE. is short for RAging DEcide (which I guess has something do with what they do with these powers, as well as the situation they find themselves in).

Left to my own devices, I´d pronouce the E, the S, the P as well as the RA and the DE. Doesn´t sound cool, however

How about ESPGaluda, is that the same thing? Do they pronounce just the one word in japanese?

One word is how the game, itself, says it, so I'd say that's pretty concrete ;)

seemed like the best space.

i've been playing a lot of Dodonpachi the past couple days, and yesterday i had a chain of 163 going in the first level using type c laser (before i hit the boss), no bombs and clearly i didn't die. i am dumbfounded. this is the first bit of progress i have made with this game in at least a year. now i know that it is within my grasp to no miss levels 1 and 2 and clear 3 which is a big deal for me.

also, i need a joystick bad, controllers just aren't doing it for me anymore.
I have no sig whatsoever.

The game speaks the word out loud?
Only words spoken on my PCB are "ATLUS!" and "Presented by CAVE!".

Weird.

EDIT: Something is spoken at the end of the game also, but I can´t remember what it is. I´m pretty sure it´s not esprade though.

Mine doesn´t. :(
Perhaps it´s got something to do with the different versions (JP, US etc.).

I had the saturn version, but not for the extra fake stage...I really don't like it.
Really? I thought the extra stage is kinda neat. The apocalyptic and ruined fiery/lava background is nifty.
Is this a Saturn Exclusive stage or is it also in the PSX version of the game?
And are we talking about DP or DDP by the way?

Thanks.

It's Dodonpachi, and no that special stage is exclusive only to the saturn version. Personally I don't think that stage is anything to write home about.

I recently got the PSX version. Only the other day I was talking to a friend here about how impressed I am with the port, it really is very good. I'm getting used to the slightly faster speed of the game, but the wait option is there to attempt to make it more accurate to the arcade.

yeah stage 0 is really bland, and also the "saturn mode" is easier than the arcade difficulty, so who'd play it anyway?

Dude, have you heard of an "esper" before? Yes, it's derived from the same ESP acronym. Now, you don't go calling it an E.S.P.er, do you? You say it in one smooth syllable: esper.
