I have now started to Suffern from withdrawal. The bang olufsen contrast screen, I crave it.
The image above is from my Sony trinitron kv-x2963e. Image 3 is just when the image fades away for the next screen. I want that all the time. With my olufsen it was like that. beautiful scan lines.
I wonder now, can I buy a custom contrast glass. Google is giving me some answers but not in the 29 inch size.
How about Resistors on the RGB line? I used to have to do this on my Megadrive through RGB Scart because the contrast the MD outputs was to high for the tv.
There will be a Screen adjustment, but Sony normally didn't put it on the flyback. Because Sony. Try the neckboard, or better yet the service manual.
OP, you could look at spending $5 on a sheet of smoked perspex - any place that does plastic will have it. See if it works for you. If it does, consider investing more to have it bent, or get glass made. A lot of older arcade cabs used smoked glass. Not my style, but it does clean up the image in the way you describe.

Yeah I tested that and it worked. But why dose the olufsen have a screen then. Is it not kinda pointless if you can get the same effect using the settings.

Are you talking about some kind of secondary glass filter screen? Unless this was actually clear and required only for protection or physical support (somehow to do with casing?) this is almost certainly pointless and I should think interfered with purity if it was tinted...
