Old skool consoles pce rgb amp

Post by ita123 »

Hello, anyone has experience with old skool consoles pce rgb amp?
http://www.oldskoolconsoles.com/product ... 74-mod-kit
How it is compared to others ths-7374 pce amps on the market? Im currently using tims av-driver board on my pce dou rx (works great). Im thinking about reusing the av-driver amp from the duo rx and put it in my pce core grafx, to amp the audio level as well , so basiclly im looking for a ths-7374 amp for my duo rx.
Thanks.

I bought one a while back that I installed in a CoreGrafx, been working flawlessly. I couldn't get my hands on any other at the time(not shipping to Europe and the likes), so couldn't tell you how it compares.
I've bought other things from David, he's been a solid guy, quick to ship & fast to reply on any support/questions.

I'm using Voultar's amp on my PC Engine Duo and I couldn't be happier.

Hey, are those caps backwards? Unlike ceramic caps, the stripe on Tantalum are POSITIVE, not negative. If those are backwards, they can literally catch fire.

My limited experience with him was not positive.

So, the seller answers that the caps are not backwards, because they in parallel with the 0.1uf ceramic caps they position like that.

That's what I assumed, but I had to double check. Other people posted pictures of mod boards that definitely had them installed backwards. Scary stuff.
