I'm happy to announce that Dimension Drive is finally available on Nintendo Switch and Steam as of today! It's been a long road and I want to thank everyone here that has contributed to the development of the game in one way or another.

I d/l'ed the Nintendo Switch version of Dimension Drive earlier today. On one particular stage, I like the nod to Radiant Silvergun in the 3rd stage of having to deal with the destructive enviroment and how it dead ends at certain key points, forcing the player to switch to the other screen on the way to an end-stage boss and not die in the process.
The concept of dual polarity as shown in Treasure's Ikaruga comes to mind with DD's dual screen setup giving rise to the player to deal two issues going on at the same time -- resulting in another hybrid shmup + puzzler if you will.
I think a bit more effort spent on the characters having moving lips during the cut scenes between stages would've added a bit more flair rather than being a static non-animated sprites (and perhaps some animated facial sprites as well). Or go for a anime stylized look would work equally also.
The green orb power-up bits recharge your ammo bar gauge and is depleted if you fire you primary weapon -- switch to the other screen to recharge or grab the green power-up orbs by shooting down small fry & larger enemies to fill it back up again (which adds a bit of strategy element to this euro-shmup title).
We would have loved to add animations and more voice acting to the characters but as a small team with a limited budget we had to limit that to the intro and ending and use static characters and text dialogue in the rest of the game. We focused more our efforts in the gameplay side of things. Hopefully, the game does well and we can improve this in the future

The dual screen mechanic is a great hook and adds a new layer of intensity and challenge while being intuitive and fun.
