Extron Crosspoint 300 + OSSC = No Sync

Post by treasure1987 »

I'm undoubtedly missing something obvious here, but I am trying to integrate an Extron Crosspoint 300 into my setup and I keep getting no sync on my OSSC.
I am using a cable with a sync stripper from my PS2 (from retro game cables), which I believe is required:

I then have one SCART to BNC breakout cable on input and one on output (hooked up in the order of red, green, blue, yellow):

I have read the manual through and believe I understand the operation. While running I see solid lights on audio, video, input 1, and output 1.

Things I know:
  • The OSSC works
The SCART cable from the PS2 works, though it might not be properly stripping sync
The SCART cable from the BNC breakout on the output works
    The OSSC works
    The display works
The crosspoint is receiving power and appears to work
The crosspoint is passing audio through correctly
Things I don't know:
  • I am using all the right cabling
    The Extron Crosspoint works
The SCART <-> BNC breakouts work
    I'm not being daft somehow
Hopefully all of that was clear. Thanks to anyone who took the time to read through this.

If the scart to BNC has a female scart head, its sync line is probably going to pin 19 instead of 20 (i.e. it's wired for output instead of input). You need to open the scart head and check if this is the case, and possibly correct that.
