According to forum posts from the creator, this power supply was chosen because it has low-ripple on the signal, so I'd like to keep using it. But it's completely dead according to my multimeter. I haven't opened it yet, currently in my freezer to loosen the epoxy holding it together (a solution I found in a few google results).
So what should I look for when I open it? Busted caps? What else can lead to an AC adaptor dying?

Replacing all the caps is pretty likely to revive it. There isn't much else in these PSUs that could fail.

Cool thanks. I may give that a try when I finally get this thing open. I think I may just have to smack it with a hammer and hope for the best.
