So I hooked up the 'ole OSSC to my 2016 D-Series 4K Vizio, and the SNES is dropping like a mad-man on input #5.
Can anyone else report that an update's mucked up the SNES' 60.09Hz vertical refresh?
Did a recent Vizio update kill D-Series SNES compatibility?

I'll check it tonight when I get a moment. I rarely feed the OSSC directly.
I haven't had any issues feeding the OSSC through the DVDO.

Cool, thanks dude.orange808 wrote:I'll check it tonight when I get a moment. I rarely feed the OSSC directly.

Yeah, everything's still gravy on the slow inputs (1-4), but 5 appears to be broken now.
FW is V1.5.6UHD, I believe.

I verified that we have the same firmware. I am using the high speed HDMI port. I have the 50" 2016 D.
I can't reproduce the issue. I have been playing Megaman and Bass for about 45 minutes now--and no lost sync. Linex3 OSSC via SCART.
I still can do more testing to see if I can reproduce the issue. Next, I will try plugging the console directly into the OSSC--and bypass the switches and sync processing in my video chain.
Could you give me some more information about your setup or games to try?

Oh wow, that's really interesting!
I tried a couple of different SNES' chained directly into the OSSC. Ports 1-4 still work fine. But port 5 is jumping all over the place and it can't seem to lock. That's for both line 2x and line 3x.
I reset all of the OSSC's settings to factory default, still no change, unfortunately.
Maybe I've gooned something up in a setting somewhere, I just don't realize it.

Okay. I've been playing Mario World for about 40 minutes. Nothing unusual.
Used SCART (retroconsole accessories eBay) directly to OSSC with default generic Linex3 directly connected to the Vizio. OSSC on latest firmware.
One sync drop right after I started the game. Usually, if the NES or SNES sync does drop out when I have the OSSC directly connected to the OSSC, it happens in Linex3 soon after I power the SNES down or hit reset--and then I don't see it again.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
I don't recall ever seeing sync drops in Linex2, but I never used it much.

Really appreciate you checking on this Orange808. I think I found the problem.
It is a firmware issue, but it's on the OSSC. I flashed .74A to the OSSC, all of these problems went away. Very strange.
The AES only agrees to work in linedoubled, and even then it drops once and a while.
EDIT: SNES and NES goes to hell when the transmission mode is set to HDMI. DVI is all good, for the most part.
Looks like possibly an EDID/handshake issue. I'll investigate it a little further.
