Also there is no combined shipping now, you have to make separate orders if you need more than one unit.
It will simplify everything for me and in particular for international shipping it's cheaper to ship two separate 2lb boxes than one 4lb box.
I'm quoting this for everybody asking for a combined shipping.

Seeing as the "buy" button is still up over 2 hours later, I think it is safe to say that there are indeed enough of these to go around. Crisis over :p

Hey superg,
Just recently I have noticed that the colors on both the outputs on my gscartsw 3.4 have become washed out, almost like with a blue tint. If I bypass the switch and hook a console directly to my TV, it looks perfectly fine. Any idea what could be going on?

Superg - would a cheap oscilloscope like this do the trick to check the RGBs line?

Well, I never used that myself but it might show the level.

Hey SuperG,

This is really embarassing, but in my rush to buy a gscart, I breezxed through paypal and it looks like the invoice has my previous address on it. I have no idea where it got the address from as I double checked now and don't see that one listed anywhere. How should I go about updating my address? Should I send you a message here, or somehow do it in paypal?

Thanks!

Just got my order in for a lite! The comp is still unavailable but I am interested, is there any way I can get the shipping combined if I order it when It's back in?

Not saying he is a scammer BUT Paypal will instantly take the side of a buyer chargeback claim if you ship to non-verified address.

Yeah I'm aware of that but I usually use a common sense, so far no issues with that.

Yes! I've been checking this thread constantly for a while waiting for gcompsw :)

Was thinking about getting a second gscartsw_lite, but haven't even set up the one I got from the previous batch yet. I should really get onto that and make sure there aren't any issues :)

Just ordered mine around 1AM past midnight (Aus Timezone), was worried they'll sell out in like an hour or two but surprisingly the paynow button is still there.
You've must made a heck load of switches superg, great job!

I've got a couple questions regarding some old posts I've seen on this thread somewhere about using TTL sync for the SNES? Is this safe to use on the gscart lite? I've bought all my cables from retrogamingcables.uk.

And an off topic question, sorry if its in the wrong thread since I'm new to the forums, I have a pal n64 I'm planning to mod with etims rgb board but his site shows there are different sync types for using certain cables, is it recommended to use my pal snes sync on luma cable, I've heard that Csync isn't recommended to use on the n64 much like the PS1?

FWIW there is only 1 flaw with the gscartsw. dust.

I've seen some existing owner's switches and they all have dust between the plexi and pcb. This is because the sides of the switch are open. These look super sexy but also dust magnets. :(

this is typical problem when connectors aren't perfectly in the slots.
could you try a DIFFERENT rgb cable in the output slot?
is it the same problem if you use the vga-esque rgb out?

I know I have a couple of fat rgb cables which tend to have wonky connectors.

Yes, both outputs have the issue. I have had a similar effect caused by loose cables before, but I have checked everything, and nothing has fixed it so far. I did try a different SCART cable with the same effect, and again, bypassing the switch fixes the color issue, so my issue is very likely with the switch itself.

I should also explain what I believe caused this issue: hooking my new PVM up to it with a wrong cable. Since I just got a PVM and haven't yet gotten the correct SCART to BNC cable yet, I tried hooking up this VGA to RCA-style RGB connectors cablenwith it, using RCA to BNC adapters to test. I knew sync wouldn't be there, but I wanted to see if it would function at all. Testing with a multimeter later, the 3 RCA plugs were indeed connected to the R, G, and B lines on the VGA side. Only reverting my setup back later did I notice the issue. Considering this only happened after my test, I will assume that damaged the switch somehow.
