Holy fucking shit, those comments...

Is this what the west is like now? I have no idea what he did or how severe, but reading the comments is making me want to side with him.

If this is becoming a trend rather than the exception in western countries I never want to go back. What a total mess.

Ok I take it back. The man is a massive cunt.

And clearly a desperate one too. The account sounds like someone very insecure with themselves and almost zero knowledge of the opposite sex. He's certainly not a sign reader and doesn't appear to have the first clue about recognising when a line has been drawn.

Does he deserve the public outing? Maybe, maybe not. For our amusement seeing an anti-gamergate self-proclaimed male feminist get shit kicked on the internet, it's awesome. For being an insecure useless man who can't communicate with women and does a bunch of cringey shit on a date - well they're a dime a dozen. They don't all get their stories told.

But whatever. The guy sounds like a heinous prick in day to day life, so let's enjoy watching him cook.

I was feeling notions of the same, haha. Often do. But tbh...

This. Seeing their fellow extremists RIP AND TEAR the accused's tender virtual flesh is a karmic spectacle par excellence. If some good is done, like that NeoGAF paedo getting locked up, or this creeper being maybe less poised to wrench some poor girl's neck? Great, honestly - but it's just gravy for the schadenfreudian slaughter. Image If they're wrongfully accused? They've earned it. Image

I'm amused when they invariably prostrate themselves before the altar of Listen And Believe. Is it genuine remorse, however steeped in zealotry? Or do they quietly dream of survival, even as they climb onto the reddened slab and the crowd rushes forth? Did Devin Faraci believe he'd escaped, before he was tracked down and dragged from his hiding place?

Oh well. Eat, children, eat! Sate yourselves on the flesh of the impure! Only when all are annihilated can your utopia come forth. Image

Oh it's delicious. This entire thread is a chronicle of white knighters and professional snowflakes slowly getting their nuts crushed in a public vice. Who could ask for more: it's exactly the comeuppance logical people dreamed of when this radical left social justice bullshit began bubbling to the fore.

On that note, another notable "gamers are pigs" dork got accused of harassing a girl off twitter recently. The evidence is a bit thin, but regardless, his defense is...beautiful:

No matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find any evidence for the accusation itself. Yet it took the screencap of one Facebook post and within two days his site has been reduced to a pile of rubble and ash.

Is this the true power of allegations of sexual misconduct?

Spill it motherfuckers, I need my fix. Are we saying the GAF owner was accused of sexual misconduct.

Also, is every male on earth potentially guilty of sexual misconduct right now, or is this a witch hunt like no other?

EDIT: Hokay, found it!

If I was a woman I'd call sexual harassment on everyone right now. It's open season.

Er...

https://imgur.com/a/FJrjx

Two drunk people in a hotel room having fun, one jumps in the shower without locking the bathroom door and the dumb drunk guy gets a boner, strips off and gets in. She says forget it, and he gets out, and is moody because no sexy time for the hols (cos if it was going to happen, it would have happened then!)

Does that actually qualify as sexual assault? :|

And this from an individual who claimed 4 counts of 'street harassment' after walking 2 blocks the day she posted. I gotta see what this chick looks like.

Seems poetic really, NeoGAF fostered an intolerant atmosphere of judgement and assumption of guilt. It became absolutely toxic, people being banned for middle of the road anti-hive-mind opinions. I stopped going there a while ago.

By their self-imposed standards, oh heck yeah. The mere allegation qualifies as dropkicking a baby into a burning house Rambo IV-style.

Hence the short, sharp pain and quick collapse... Image

You don't think abruptly getting naked and in a shower with a person who's in a relationship with someone else isn't intensely sketchy?

Unfortunate to see GAF explode like this. I'll never argue that the forum didn't have some serious issues (was rather phenomenal in 2011 but went downhill the last few years), as this thread will attest to, but there weren't any other large gaming communities that were quite as good. Oh well. I won't miss EviLore lol.

Agreed with all of this. I don't mind seeing GAF burn, but it has been my main source for gaming and industry news for like 10 years. And even with as bad as its gotten, it still had some pockets of cool people if you followed the right threads. Oh well.

Intensely sketchy? No.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, it sounds like a guy and a girl traveling alone together on a holiday, getting blind drunk and then making absolutely idiotic regrettable decisions that they're totally going to regret the next day.

Taking off your clothes and jumping in the shower with a girl is a bit ambitious, even if in your drunken stupor all the signs seemed to be there - but drunk peopled are bad at making judgement calls and make stupid decisions.

I'm not condoning the guy getting naked prematurely, but the situation sounds rather prone for one embarrassing stunt or another.

In today's society, attempting to (and in this case, successfully) breaking up a relationship is not seen in a poor light.

Disgusting. What a creep, I hope this he owns up to it this time. Bye bye NeoGAF!
