I picked up an imperfect 2730QM (European) for a good deal, and am hoping to improve the display of the screen. The image is stable but has the following issues:
-a bit off center (too far left)
-a bit round in the corners
-wobbly edge in the upper right corner
-some blue purity issues in upper left corner (occasionally see some mild splotches of purple on blue areas)
Obligatory pics: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2gcB ... VgtdHU0VjQ
The images were taken with a Sega CDX attached via RGB SCART. I've confirmed the same issues occur with a Super Famicom attached via RGB SCART.
Any help on getting these issued fixed would be appreciated. I have the service manual for the monitor, and have opened up some CRT's before, but I don't really know where to start with this one. Some of it seems like it just needs adjustment, but the wiggly edge makes me suspicious there could be some bad or failing components inside.
Are there adjustments I should make? Should I have a professional search for bad components? Both?

Re: Sonny PVM 2730QM - Wobble and Rounded Corners
I had the same issue with my 21' one.
Temporary fix was to adjust the pots inside the unit. It's nicely described inside the manual which pot does what.
Use a plastic screwdriver or something non conductive to adjust them.
If there are some components to change, I would like to know too. Not in the mood to recap the whole PVM atm.

Re: Sonny PVM 2730QM - Wobble and Rounded Corners
the wobble would be some bad caps...
Start with replacing these caps I would say;
C board (neckboard)
D2 board (convergance)
D3 board (pincushion)
D board (geometry)
Here is a full cap list for the above boards I made;
