Methinks it's worth noting that faith in itself does not have to be completely blind, without any backing whatsoever...in some cases, obviously, it is, but just because you have faith in something doesn't mean that you just pulled it completely out of thin air and have absolutely nothing "solid" to reinforce it with.

But then again the example that was given to me was just as much rubbish.
