I recently rewired an old 8 pin din SMS cable for use on my newly RGB modded Duo and I am wonder if I should add audio as 3.5mm, similar to cables made for the Model 1 Genesis/MegaDrive.
After researching the major cable retailers I notice 3.5mm isn't even an option. Are the aux outs on Duo's infamously bad or something?
PC-E Duo SCART with 3.5mm?

Re: PC-E Duo SCART with 3.5mm?
The pot can have issues due to leaking caps located near it but these can be replaced by using a GBA pot.
Normally the audio is taken directly from the din connector to the scart connector.
I would make sure the Duo's been recapped correctly and the PCB cleaned thourgh.
the audio amps can have usses with leaking cap resedue underneath.
desoldering them and cleaning and replacing the IC's plus repairing tracks coroded usually coreects audio issues.

Thanks Vimtoman, yeah in that case I might just leave it as is, pulling audio from the din. The system is recapped entirely, but I had a feeling it may be an unreliable area.Vimtoman wrote:The pot can have issues due to leaking caps located near it but these can be replaced by using a GBA pot.
