More SNK classics on GOG, Pulstar and Ironclad included

Certainly wasn't expecting Ironclad. The previous GOG releases were hit and miss, since some of them didn't recognize joystick input (this included Blazing Star, sadly), so wondering how these fare out.

Do these have any use aboven using mame, apart from the warm fuzzy feeling you now "own" teh romz because you've transferred some cash to the current owners of snk's corporate corpse?

Oh sweet from the screenshots it looks like they corrected the brightness from the Wii VC release of Ironclad at least!

You can play online multiplayer through GOG Galaxy (at least with some).spmbx wrote:Do these have any use aboven using mame, apart from the warm fuzzy feeling you now "own" teh romz because you've transferred some cash to the current owners of snk's corporate corpse?

The GOG page doesn't say so, but I assume this is more DotEmu-developed shittery. Do not give them money for anything, ever.

They are Dot Emu versions, yeah. Odd thing I noticed: the keyboard controls screen on Ironclad shows X and C as two of the buttons (corresponding to C and D on a stick), but it's actually Z and X. Something to watch out for if using Joy2Key, heh.

Developed? That word implies minimum effort, IMO.OmegaFlareX wrote:The GOG page doesn't say so, but I assume this is more DotEmu-developed shittery. Do not give them money for anything, ever.

Just sell me a damn ROM license already.GOG wrote:DotEmu

GOG needs to do a better job of listing the actual developer somewhere. People deserve proper warning.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

I hope Blazing Star is next, just like in the Nintendo Switch..
At this rate, I won’t be interested into shmups anymore. I am no longer going to be active in this forum from now on. I am more interested into Kemono Friends, rhythm games, D4DJ, Puzzle Games, Hololive, and Pretty Cure.
Farewell.

It's the same list of games that appeared on Humble a little ways back, I would assume they're from the same source.
