Re: OPINIONS Monitor Colors
Number 2. I'd even argue the title shot of number 2 could be taken again and it would look better.
1 is too saturated. 3 is the opposite.

Tough call. I don't like number 1.
Base settings also don't reflect the capabilities of the monitor post calibration.
I vote #2 as well

Re: OPINIONS Monitor Colors
Thanks for the input so far, more are welcome.
Yes the base settings are not what the monitor is capable of, however this allows me to see just how different the same monitor can be. Working off the "best" image makes it a little easier to see if there are underlying issues with any of these, ie. if one monitor was always brighter.
#3 has what I believed the correct Kirby pink.

Re: OPINIONS Monitor Colors
... all the same model - all reset to default/same settings? ... Including any service level settings?
Technically I'd take 1 and tune it down... assuming everything's kind of equal on the geometry + convergence fronts(?) ... any dimness usually could maybe relate to tube/component wear/age/issues (increasingly a concern over time)... although, of course, with analogue it's kind of a crapshoot over which will actually last the longest , what they looked like out of the box to begin with, so don't get too obsessive, ... but yeah you try and start of with best possible chance/spec.
Go by tonal (white to black) quality and purity first before colour (not just brightness but graduation between a nice pure white and a deep dark black) , as long as the colour isn't obviously broken of course... colour levels will likely be more easy to adjust/balance whilst avoiding crush/compression/inaccuracy if at relatively medium levels/gains if you've got a good tonal balance before tweaking anything relating to contrast/brightness... once again this is assuming all service levels are the same...
Use test suite or similar to calibrate, and then adjust to own personal taste/environment. Although handy to check at the end - don't start off by how you think a flat shade mix between red and blue should look like... aka kirby...
