The graphics on Rastan Saga 2 are definitely a sad mockery. It did not deserve such an amazing OGR soundtrack. Jumping control is fucked beyond belief- what's the deal with having to hold the jump button down for a high jump? Level design in RS2 is totally bland- there are no multiple paths. I used to have the Genesis version, and when MAME did the arcade one I tried that to see if it would be any better. Gameplay wise, no- though the soundtrack rocks.Neo Rasa wrote: Rastan Saga 2, man that game was garbage. I first played it on the Genesis, where the only good thing about the game, the music, was butchered beyond belief. I thought I was playing some parody of an actual Rastan game.
Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga 3 was great though.
You know what the biggest cocktease ever was? After that mediocre arena fighter Barbarian came out in the US/Europe, Taito distributed it in Japan. So out of nowhere on the Japan release lists you see "Warrior Blade: Rastan vs. The Barbarians" and get your hopes up for a couple of seconds.
All Taito did for that Barbarian game was to change Dagan to Rastan. I was disappointed when I found out it wasn't the real Warrior Blade.
I hate not having the Ninja in the Genesis version of Cadash. When the graphics and BGM are so close to the arcade, it's an even more glaring annoyance.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
