Yeah that one also raises my big question tbh.

And there's one short 5-minute Concept Movie. What is it, a trailer for upcoming movie? Because Rebellion ending is a cliffhanger I suppose.
Spoiler
Regarding the doomed fairy girl (referencing Homura?), well it's kind of disturbing that she has become creepy yandere girl and imprisoned the one which she protects in a ingenuine world. I'm glad that Madoka finally remembers everything what just happen, and Sayaka's memories hasn't erased at all.

My reference was to a different series altogether: World End. Who on earth could possibly not love Homura?! She works hard, and gets things done.

The Madoka concept movie is what it is - a short clip experimenting with scenes and themes they might want to explore. It's like those extra scenes at the end of every Evangelion rebuild movie that are nothing but lies. The next Madoka project may be a series or another film, no one knows and nothing has been decided. My money's on another movie.

At least there's always plenty of fanservice.

Because from what I read on the net it was a upcoming movie trailer, but yeah you're right. Whether the next project would be a movie or series anything is fine.

Apart from her action in the Rebellion's last 20 mins which seemed out of place, she's a interesting character. The girl that really needs a warm hug

Gugure! Kokkuri-san, short but sweet anime with some dark humor in it. Little girl (who thinks she's a doll) living alone, eventually 3 spirits come to live with her. The main one loves house cleaning and cooking for some reason.

Oh my god, thank you for making me aware of this show's existence!

And to think, it was a completely random pick for me, Sgt Frog bored me after 7 episodes, this was much shorter (12 episodes, versus 388), and the humor was far better.

It reminds me of when I tried to get into Detective Conan. 5 episodes in and I'm like "You know, this is decent and all, but I can probably find a better anime about a child detective that doesn't require a 5 year investment." I wound up finding two, and they were pretty enjoyable. (though I can't recall their names, atm)

The faces are certainly bland, but some of the space battle scenes looked pretty good.

I won't expect it'll overtake the original OVA in any area, but maybe it'll still be entertaining.

Ehhhhh.
They kind of went a bit too far with the pretty boy direction there. New Reinhardo is giving me McGillis flashbacks (muh Bael...) and a younger-looking Yang is kind of off-putting. Kircheis already was a pretty boy, but he didn't always have those... seductive...

Isn't Kuroko a fujioshi bait series anyway?

I watched the whole series and I liked it a whole lot actually. It's one of the things alongside Slam Dunk which inspired me to take up basketball training, as silly as that sounds.
It's a shonen sports anime about dunking the b-ball and how some countryside hicks became the slamperors of Japan. It's not real basketball as sooner or later you'll be seeing superhuman feats and abilities which make no sense realistically, but aren't portrayed as something supernatural anyways, and do a lot to keep matches fresh. The characters overall are rather solid, if not maybe one-note, but certainly relatable. When shit goes down it goes DOWN.

For some inexplicable reason, fans, especially the female fans, tend to misinterpret the mutual respect and camaraderie of sweaty athletes as raging homolust, when the show doesn't remotely allude to anything of the sort. Hence all the yaoi fanart. I believe I've seen a con specifically held for exchanging KnB doujins. It's just guy love, that's all it is.
The character designs never bothered me (aside from the sameface), nor did ever the question pop up whether they're baiting out shippers. The cast is almost entirely male, so the char designs would've been irrelevant to those deep dark fantasies anyways. The source material was bound to attract such an audience, even though yaoi fanservice scenes are non-existent (in my perspective at least :| ).

Back to LoGH, it's just in comparison to the original designs and again the mostly male cast of characters that the new character designs come off as blatant fujoshi pandering. The original designs had more manly men who could be considered somewhat shoujo-esque for the time, especially in the era of the 90's and Evangelion's upside-down triangle faces. The new designs of especially Yang and Kircheis have lost a lot of features which showcased their personality in favor of something more indistinguishable and bishie. If their personalities will remain the same, that is. It's just in bad taste. Whether the show itself will actually prod into that direction beyond aesthetics remains to be seen, but Production I.G. isn't blind to the money either.

I wanted to enjoy it, and the first handful of episodes were great.
and then at some point it got annoying as heck and I dropped it, it's been a while [well, not that long, but it's been long enough for me to forget stuff now]
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Yeah, it was pretty enjoyable, but it's one of those "we'll just abruptly end the show even though there's more manga to go on" anime.

People were surprised over a supposed twist ending, but along came the ending and I didn't notice a twist at all. Maybe it just went over my head.

You did well to stop watching those, because I did watch almost the whole thing instead.
Really, Sgt. Frog has some nice reference, but they are more vapid than Family Guy, it was overall unfunny. Case Closed has interesting a nd cleaver cases, but the childish characters and the drag-out Black Organization mistery are a total turn-off that I glossed over since elementary school until high school.

Just rewatched Patlabor : The Movie on Blu Ray. God damn that film is still awesome.

This high def release is so well done too, and is a true showcase of how beautiful the film looks : saturated tones coexist with desaturated ones in the same frame, in perfect harmony. Truly amazing color-work.

That's a humongous difference from how I've first seen it (analog cable on standard def CRT)! Blows my mind, really

Watching Mitsudomoe, it's supposed to be bad, but it's given me some laughs, especially the piss humor in episode 2.

Yeah, Mitsudomoe is one of the best moeshits out there. Hitoha a best.

Made in Abyss ended, and was (together with mahoujin Guru Guru) the anime of the season imo. Can't wait for a second season.

Index 3 finally announced, what a time to be alive.

Took me almost 25 years, but I rewatched Samurai Pizza Cats/Kyatto Ninden Teyande, the animu that made me a weeb. All those years and still been so fucking hilarious. The humour getting more and more stupid with each passing episode it's amazing me.
Love this kind of edo/karakuri/sci-fi comical shows, too bad the gambare goemon anime is ultra shit.
Any similar series worth watching? I've heard Oedo Rocket is great, but those designs are always turning me off.

Best scenes I liked were the first episode Battle Royale parody, and all the scenes of the sister's father being picked by the police because he looks like a molester.

Tell me about it! It's not easy to make me cry, but that last episode broke me. Twice. If they pull a Deadman Wonderland and decide to just not continue I'll be furious.

I've started watching Gundam the last couple of weeks, partially due to this thread. Started with the movie trilogy and now i'm halfway through Zeta and really enjoying it so far 8) I'm honestly surprised how well Gundam has aged both visually and story wise.
