Seeing how speedy I am in updating, it seems I'm getting tricked into updating hourly highs.

So basically post as many scores in this thread as you want, but I'll only update a person's score once every few days. It just gets to be a little tedious in a non-automated score chart. No offense.

Getting as much green capsules as possible while destroying as much enemies/collecting bonus icons as possible. To get as many green capsules as you can you have to get as many blue capsules as you can (to build up the shield).

A simple technique is to hover over the first large enemy (usually with multiple boxes atop) to build the multiplier up to x16 (with the smaller shield, don't attack). After you do that, thwack it with the sword a few times and you should have a full shield ready. Activate as soon as you have a bevy of bullets and enemies on screen and it should be pretty easy to keep it going from there (by destroying near everything with a sword).

If you're feeling lucky, try juggling as many point medals as you can with your sword to see if they turn into something else. Be careful, though, if they're hit as these other things they'll turn into big point medals.

Yellow triangles = 25% multiplier bar charge
Pink triangles = Turns all enemy shots on screen into point medals
Pink diamonds = Bomber refill

This is the best I can do at the moment. I did manage to finish the game (on Normal) with 3 continues, but I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate those troublesome caravan sections (stage 4 and 5) as well as those annoying mid level bosses.

The best I've been able to do on HARD was:

Things get hectic in a hurry, but the potential for keeping your multiplier going (due to the increased number of bullets) is great.

The level 4 midboss has the same attack cones as the level 3 midboss, but just with more bullets/increased speed. Use the same safe areas.

Also, save your ABS for when the spinning guns of death start firing and melee them to destroy as many of them as possible.

(At this rate I'm probably going to beat Allett's score but STILL be stuck on the stage 4 boss.)
