I'm not sure when paypal locks the order, during check out or when you actually try to pay. Everything is legit, there were 31 orders in total, 5 people ordered 2 units.
The fastest new batch will be here in 4 weeks. That would be much much more units. As I don't plan to do any pre-orders now it will be simpler for me.

Just some statistics: usually when I open the pre-orders the first day is around 60% of all the orders then it slows down tremendously. A big batch which I'm going to order will probably stay for week+.

God I really hope you didn't allow multiple purchases (that should have been a given :/ ).
Oh well, weeks of wasting time checking forums for nothing... recognize a good thing when you're onto it, let the buyers prepay and make yourself some money (OSSC was much easier!).

Ok thats good news, OSSC isn't here yet anyway so I can wait. I still think you're underestimating demand though, look at how fast these sold out and how many more you could've sold in mere minutes...

If a big order to you is say 500 units they will sell out first day guaranteed. You have at least 3-4 months of demand built up on this thing on top of the youtuber hype train.

I cannot stand that kind of business model Limited Run Games uses. I'm with RetroRGB in that I will never patronize their business. I'd have no problem whatsoever with their limited run if they did it as follows:

1. Leave the order window up for 1 hour.

2. At the end of that hour, use computer software to draw from the order submissions to award who gets one.

3. Base the number of unfilled orders on how many units to make for the next batch.

This keeps their items highly sought after, prevents bots from insta-buying the stock, and gives real people a fair shot at trying to buy one. On top of that, they get a free indication of how much interest there is, without having to worry about pre-orders causing loss of interest. It's a win-win. But this current BS model they use is just a scalper's wet dream.

Could you possibly do a kickstarter or something to fill demand on this thing? Starting to feel like the snes classic lol. Worse even cuz unlike crap like the mini or limited run games, this thing actually performs an important task in a gaming setup.

It's the same with shoes, vinyl, with limited art prints, etc. It's not just Limited Run taking advantage of the scalper climate. But at the end of the day who cares about garbage games that weren't good enough to get a physical release in the first place. The only reason there is any demand for this stuff at all, is because they're hard to get. They have no genuine value.

If I can't get ahold of one of these switches within the hour when they next go on sale though, I will be genuinely, justifiably pissed along with many others. No pressure SuperG!

Yes, you can use 12V power supply if you want (positive polarity).

I think it must have been botted. There is no way I could have been faster. Did anyone 'bulk buy'?

Everyone has to remember this product carries waves within the retrogaming community coverage from RetroRGB to My Life in Gaming and many other off shoot YouTube channels that put up reviews. And many from the community is not registered to the forums, hell I just registered to just put it out there that I'm not one of the bots.

And I've been lurking here reading the community posts for months watching out to see when the next batch will be available to order. I was one of the lucky ones for this batch due to the fact I used my mobile phone to enter my credentials which tends to be risky since I'm slower putting that stuff in.

I only placed an order for one, at least something made my mood a little better after receiving an email from WM Games that Paprium is delayed until beginning of next year.

Thanks superg; have been monitoring this thread for a while now and finally picked up my first gscartsw for my framemeister set-up from your extras batch. No more violently swapping in and out cables to my XRGB adapter! Really looking forward to this product. It looks like it's been a labor of love.

Also, consider me a +1 for interest in bringing back another round of gcompsw. I get the impression that many of us would be highly interested -- there are other solutions (aging as they may be), but gcompsw really does seem top-notch compared to the rest of the pack.

Well I would actually have been interested in getting Night Trap since it uses the best possible video source they could find, and the game was historical for being the brunt of attacks from politicians that eventually got the ESRB started.

I seriously doubt that there were any flippers. As superg said, it was 31 independent orders, with only 5 people getting doubles, myself included. There was no limit, so if someone were botting and flipping, why didn't they order 10 in a single order? The reality is, this is a hugely popular device, with a lot of people chomping at the bit to get one. For every one poster, you can imagine at least 10 lurkers. I probably only succeeded because my paypal info & password were saved into Firefox.
