Hahaha, I knew what this was before I even clicked the link. I feel you though. I'm hype, and keep refreshing the store page. Tired as heck though; today was suppose to be my day to sleep in!

DirkSwizzler wrote: I would personally expect it to work with sync regen on. But the short answer is that the Garo is out of spec. And when something goes out of spec you shouldn't get your hopes up too high that it will just work.

If it doesn't work then I would follow Guspaz's quest for a sync bypass. It seems like the most sane option. Or if you're impatient I've had good results with a Kenzei.

I'm hoping Guspaz will at least share his plan sometime soon. I have a spare voultar snes rgb board I was going to jam into a mini for work (I make games) and this seems like a much better use. I can solder just fine, but I can't seem to understand the fundamentals of EE. I get that boosting the signal with the snesrgb board will help the signal to retain brightness as well as possibly de-stress whatever component system is active. But I'm not quite sure if he's planning to just split after the amp, or one pre-amp, one post-amp. I just dont get it enough to make good decisions. :(
Thank you very much but that answer, it does clarify things up a bit, at least, not to get my hopes up. I am still very new to all this, please pardon the very newb and naive question...if the garo is out of spec, would a passive component to scart box work?

I was sitting there for an hour, refreshing every 2 seconds, and I clicked things as fast as I could.
I still couldn't get one.

I'm sorry for that, I will be ordering more next week, no more pre-orders, will fund it myself.

I think it must have been botted. There is no way I could have been faster. Did anyone 'bulk buy'?

What a joke, once you get to checkout on PayPal, your puchase should be secure

I got one. I had paypal already logged in, my settings confirmed beforehand, and had the page up with the HTML element where the "Sold out" text appeared up in my inspect tab - cache off (just in case).

It was about 20 seconds from page refresh to click the three or four times required to submit the order.

I think there are just a lot of folks like me out there.

Pretty sure it was less than that. I watched my clock tick from 10:00AM to 10:01AM as I clicked the "Pay Now" button & waited for it to load only to tell me it was sold out.

I'm really going to be pissed if i see these of ebay for $250+ in a week or 2 time.

Do we have any idea when we would be able to get another?

250? They'll be 320-350 and I guarantee somebody just botted them. Way too many of us refreshing and clicking to buy one and not getting it for someone to just snag all 36 in a few seconds like that.

Could you possibly do a kickstarter or something to fill demand on this thing? Starting to feel like the snes classic lol. Worse even cuz unlike crap like the mini or limited run games, this thing actually performs an important task in a gaming setup.

How many units did you sell during the pre-order? Just curious.

I'm not sure when paypal locks the order, during check out or when you actually try to pay. Everything is legit, there were 31 orders in total, 5 people ordered 2 units.
The fastest new batch will be here in 4 weeks. That would be much much more units. As I don't plan to do any pre-orders now it will be simpler for me.

Just some statistics: usually when I open the pre-orders the first day is around 60% of all the orders then it slows down tremendously. A big batch which I'm going to order will probably stay for week+.

I managed to get a order in before making my post about it being up. I only ordered one. Had no idea they sold out so fast.

Thanks again Superg for doing this service to the community, and hopefully this means there won't be too long of a wait for those who missed out today. Will you be ordering more gcompsw aswell?

Also, would you consider doing an 8 input version of gcompsw?
