Hi guys, question. So I have an emulation PC running RetroArch going through an Emotia Junior to a 27'' JVC CRT via S-Video. So the Emotia does 240p. What I'm having a hard time understanding is my PC feeds it 640x480. Should the PC be feeding it 320x240 resolution? I'm asking because the picture I'm getting has a slight fuzziness to it, which usually indicates scaling/resolution is off somehow. In RA I run integer scaling at the x2 for cores which fills up the screen nicely and scanlines are lined up.
Now I have real hardware (SMS) hooked up via RF. Yes, RF the crappiest connection. And the picture is slightly sharper than the emotia PC output. Is it possible the games are getting distorted somehow in RA because the pixels are doubled because the of the 640x480? I can't even get a picture out of the emotia when I try to run 320x240. I am running an AT 4650 cars which is compatible with CRT_Emudriver. Would that be better than the current drivers I'm using?

Re: Emotia Jr. resolution settings
480p input into the Emotia is correct, but you have to make you get vertical integer scaling on the emu's side. When a game is running at 224p for example you have to make sure it's displayed in 448p with the remaining pixel lines padded in black. Some emus will scale to full 480p height instead. In this case you'll lose the 2:1 line mapping required for proper down scaling.
