Problem when daisy chaining with Crosspoint

Post by syboxez »

I recently got an Extron Crosspoint 1616HVA, and was making cables for all my consoles when I noticed something strange. I'm currently using a Sony KV-32FS120 which only has 1 YPbPr input along with an RGBS to YPbPr transcoder (cheap CSY clone that I manually calibrated).

Since my TV only has 1 YPbPr input and I have other consoles using YPbPr that I would like to use, I routed the output of the transcoder back to another input on my Crosspoint to go to my dedicated YPbPr output. That's when I noticed this strange color distortion. I then connected the output of the transcoder directly to the TV, and the distortion was completely gone. Thinking it was the Crosspoint that was the issue, I tried connecting the output of the transcoder to a GE passive component switcher I had laying around, and the same distortion came back.
