Bit of a long shot this one, but I've got two of the Keio Saturn to PlayStation adapters, that let you use a Saturn pad on a PlayStation.
They work on my PS2, on my Xbox 360 via an adapter and on my Megadrive via the Tototek adapter.
However, they do not work on my PlayStation 1 console.
When I attach them to my PS1, they're recognised but don't function correctly, for instance every 9th or 10th press is not registered, and if I hold a direction down to move in a game the character will move about half the screen then just stop dead, even with my finger still on the D-Pad.
I did Google around and the website is long gone, though there's some mention of new firmware I can't find it (nor would I have any idea how to update but, hopefully said firmware has instructions with it).
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Also yes the PS1 works fine with my regular Dualshock 2 controller. It's a SCPH-5502 PAL unit with DFO, mod chip and PS-IO installed. I also had it re-capped and the laser replaced when I had the PS-IO installed.

I would love to get one of these Keio adapters for using a Twin Stick on a ps2, shame they're not made anymore.
Some googling led me to this page: http://denki.world3.net/pad_converters.html
It has a zip file with firmware but I have no idea if it's latest.
Reading through this thread and it seems some PS1 and PS2s have an issue with the adapter, some mention of inputs missing on the second page. The creator fixed it with a new IC chip: http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/ ... nt_3815135

Thanks for the assist guys, didn't want you to think I was ignoring, just getting pretty busy here... I'll look into the new firmware but I guess if I need a new IC I'm SOL?

Really wish these or other sat2ps converters would come back on sale.

Pricey, but they work well. They used to be just $35. He makes the circuit himself, and may be willing to sell them separately.

I too really wished there were more adapters that would let you use Saturn controllers on other consoles. Very curious why the one made by spacemonkeyfromthefuture is compatible with PS2 but not PS1. They have the same plugs and all PS2 controllers I know of work on PS1. Lastly, too bad you will "most likely you will experience lag if you use this with another adapter" since I had intended to try these out on my Mega Drive / Genesis via tototek adapter.
