I plugged my wii in to my crt today with the intention of finally getting round to doing a full play through of zelda OoT and found that the colours are really screwed up. the home screen looks pinkish red instead of blue and in game link's cloths were blue, red stuff was green etc. i was using an RGB cable and it's definitely not the TV, other consoles look fine.
anyone know what could cause this or how to fix it? i couldn't see any options for colour in the wii settings.

seems it's just the cable. i managed to find the composite cable and the colours are fine with that. hmm. i now don't remember if i've ever used this wii rgb cable before.....

Re: Wii colours messed up / inverted
If it's a NTSC Wii, then the output delivers component only - hence the wrong colors using the RGB cable.

Re: Wii colours messed up / inverted
I have the exact same issue when I hook up the Wii with an RGB cable through the Gscartsw. When I hook it up directly to the tv, the problem does not occur.
I know the Gscartsw works fine, so I assume there is something about the cable that messes up the colors under certain conditions.
