Focus Attack and Arcade Shock both have reasonable prices, never had an issue with either site

That place is slooooooow. Took them a month to ship (just ship - not deliver!) an LS-40, which arrived in a paper bag. Wasn't impressed.

Do you use the LS-40 for shmups? And can you compare it to any other Seimitsu stick or the Sanwa JLF?

I have a 40. It's a good medium between the 32 and a JLF if you can only have one stick. It feels taller like the Sanwa, with some of the feel of the Seimitsu (mushier motion, firmer spring, but not as much as with the 32). Throw is also shorter than with the Sanwa.

I tend to agree with the extremely general opinion that JLF is for fighters, LS-32 for shmups. If you want the best for either genre, the 40 is a compromise and you should stick with the more established models. But, as above, if you want one stick that will be OK for all your games without having to switch around, I think the 40 works.

Yeah the above reconciles with what I'd read when I did my research. I play a lot of Guilty Gear, so a good stick for fighting was a priority. I wouldn't agree that the JLF is better for fighting game however. That really is down to personal taste. I came to dislike the wonky, loose feel of the JLF. I'm very happy with the LS-40 for GG and would use it if I never played shmups.

I don't think the JLF is good for shmups, either. The throw is too large for micro dodging imo. Very satisfied wth my LS-40.

I've never used an LS-32 though, so I can't compare it.
