Hi everyone, I hope this topic is allowed here. Definitely not asking where to get it. Just need some technical help.
Okay, I'm using the lr-px68k emulator and most games I try I can get to run. One game I really want to play is Cotton Fantastic Night Dreams. However, I am not having much luck. It is two disks. I load disk 1 into FDD0 and disk 2 into FDD1. When I reset, the game boots to the Electronic Arts logo and stays there playing music. I thought it was loading, but I left it for about 5 minutes and nothing ever happened. Is there something special I have to do to get this to run? I came across a topic while searching online of someone saying they had to install the game by typing in something but I don't seem to be able to reach a terminal screen in px68k. Just a basic emulation menu where I can swap disks in and out.
Any help would be appreciated, especially if you have been able to get this game running on this emulator.

I had to put both disks in each drive, then reset, and it worked.
There was a message about needing 4MB of RAM, so try to put at least that amount in "core options".

are you trying to load dim files? try an xdf version, px68k's support for dim files seems to be pretty iffy.

Before I saw your post, I ended up grabbing a different revision of the rom and it finally loaded up.Tatsuya79 wrote:I had to put both disks in each drive, then reset, and it worked.

Yup, they are dim files. I think I will do that in the future. I've noticed random little weird things with certain games.e_tank wrote:are you trying to load dim files? try an xdf version, px68k's support for dim files seems to be pretty iffy.
