hi,
I bought a commodore monitor model 1702 and I was about done modding my genesis for S-Video. I put the genesis on top of the monitor and fired up sonic 1 to test my mod. I noticed a large pink~ish spot on the top right corner, mostly occurring on red/orange color. I put the genesis aside and I noticed the issue diminishing but still there. i started swiping the genesis around the screen and discovered that, when I put the genesis in front or side of the monitor fix the issue.
it's probably coming from a magnet inside the genesis, but how do I fix that permanently? I'm considering ducktaping the genesis to the side of the monitor...
thanks

Re: commodore monitor 1702 color issue
I'm not even going to bother asking why ducktape
Anyway, after you've put the Genesis in its place, degauss the monitor. It should be fine afterwards. The metal shielding (I guess?) in the Genesis will have an effect on the magnetic field of the monitor.
