Under Defeat for DC
We await the answer with baited breath. Just kidding, I'd make fun of anyone who cares enough to spend time researching that. Get (another) hobby.Kron wrote:I could do but the recent trend on the internet seems to be to post nothing but incorrect info and conjecture so why don't people put a little effort in finding out the information for themselves before they post something thats a guess.
Anyways, it's confirmed that it's a poster and not a DVD case, let's get back on topic please

Then that would make you a twat who does everything in a half assed nature. Anyone who wants to turn hobbies into top trumps are the ones who need to be made fun of for being totally transparent.Neon wrote:I'd make fun of anyone who cares enough to spend time researching that. Get (another) hobby.
And why does it need confirming that thats a picture of a poster, Its blatantly obvious.
Anyway back on topic...
Man, I forgot why I didn't visit the boards here
I'd still be interested in knowing what other games came in a DVD box, but whatever. Wrong board for that I guess.

I'm sorry, but how exactly is it obvious? Has G.Rev released a press note about it coming in a standard jewel case? Of course, the numbers are in favor of it being a jewel case, since 99% of Dreamcast games came like that. You don't need a maths certificate to figure that out. But that makes it likely, not obvious.twe wrote:It's pretty obvious it will be in a standard DC jewel case, and not a DVD case.

Only one I own is Cosmic Smash, and it's one of the best packaging jobs on a video game ever. I know there are some other DVD case games on DC, but none of interest.nem wrote:I'd still be interested in knowing what other games came in a DVD box, but whatever. Wrong board for that I guess.
I was under the assumption it might be coming in (at least) a standard DVD case as well. Would be cool, but I really don't care either way. I just want the gameplay to be great.
I've seen a bunch of recently released DC dating games in DVD cases here, don't remember the titles though. Also Segagaga special edition is in a large case, although not a standard DVD case.nem wrote: I'd still be interested in knowing what other games came in a DVD box, but whatever. Anyway, there's more DC games in DVD cases than just cosmic smash.
BTW, the Under Defeat OST is in a DVD case.

Hey guys, was that huge black text block always on the DC Sega Direct page? Link:
http://segadirect.jp/Catalog/CustomPage ... erd_dc.htm
It says something about April 1st. Anyone want to translate? *-neo

They say if you want one of those refurbished Dreamcasts you should order by March 23rd, since they will stop selling them from April.

Yikes, I guess this confirms that law is seriously going to affect retrogamers in future.CIT wrote:They say if you want one of those refurbished Dreamcasts you should order by March 23rd, since they will stop selling them from April.

I wouldn't trust Famitsu too much. Lately they became pretty much shitty to be honest. Just look at their "Best games of all times!" list.

To compare this to other Famitsu ratings: Trizeal got 6 / 7 / 6 / 6 (total 25/40) and Radirgy 6 / 6 / 5 / 6 (total 23/40).

That looks pretty cool indeed.
That said I was hoping for it to look like this (the pics on Sega Direct and online webshops sites):

But that's only because I like the darker color pallette I guess.
And I was wondering about the "normal" edition myself as well. If like with Border Down it has it's own look it might be worth getting as well.
And finally the dimensions of this pic aren't hinting at a DVD like case now are they!?

Could be, but lots of DC games got released in boxes of the same size with just a normal DC CD case inside (Eternal Arcadia LE, Sonic Anniversary, Love Hina, etc.), so that seems the more likely outcome.Super Laydock wrote:And finally the dimensions of this pic aren't hinting at a DVD like case now are they!?![]()
Not sure which version of Love Hina DC you have, but the version I have is the size of two PS2 boxes ^_-twe wrote:Could be, but lots of DC games got released in boxes of the same size with just a normal DC CD case inside (Eternal Arcadia LE, Sonic Anniversary, Love Hina, etc.), so that seems the more likely outcome.

the fact that all final fantasy games have gotten at least 36es save for FFX-2 says something about the taste of the review staffKiken wrote:To be fair, that was a Reader's Top 100, not an Editor's Top 100 list.max\DCS wrote:I wouldn't trust Famitsu too much. i'm glad FFXII is moving on from "press x millions of times to win" though (by default, there are still people that like the kind of play style that doesn't require you to pay attention to anything on screen so they left that mode in i think)
