I´m going to get a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 1.
The guy wants 49€ for it, so I´d like to check the operating hours and general condition of tube and chassis before I buy.
For the picture testing I use an old DVD-player and a test dvd.
But how do I get to the service menu and where do I find the operating hours counter?
What would be the maximum acceptable operating hour count??
I´d like to use the TV for PS2 light gun games, also. Will it work? I´m asking because it has some kind of "filter" glas in front of the tube.
B&O BeoVision 1 Service Menu? Operating hours?

Might depend upon version... I remember some early versions had a jumper inside tv, but seems to be remote press:

Anyway tbh @49 euro if it looks ok, I'd just get it...
Also there's some general info for you in this appreciation thread:

Does anyone else have a problem with certain devices always causing the TV to default to 16:9 mode (which you then turn off by using the LIST button to select 'picture mode', then press DOWN for 4:3)? I can't get it to remember the setting, it's just a bit of a pain to keep resetting, like the volume control. This is on an MX4200 btw, I'm not sure if the older models have that feature.
Yes. I'm rocking a Beovision 1 now and both my Saturn and Supergun trigger 16:9. I had to find a manual to figure out the secret button combination for 4:3
It's one of their last CRTs produced yet theres no auto-switching or saving different picture settings for different inputs. Looks the part though, nice picture and amazing sound as always.
