If you do figure out whats wrong with your PSU board, I'd love to know, mine blew a few months ago, and I have very little knowledge of low level electronics, so I ended up just getting a replacement (ebay seller in germany) so now I have a spare "dead" PSU board, that could be trivial to fix, I just dont know how!

okay, I got my power supply fixed. caps were all fine. I had to replace 6 resistors on this little board is which vertically installed on the main pcb. the resistors were either weak or not working at all. it seems that this board is doing some kind of voltage consumption check

Nice fix, svensonson! Would never have thought that the resistors would have been the issue. Where there any scorch / burn marks on them or did they look completely normal?

Wow, I wonder if thats a common issue they have, I'm encouraged by how "basic soldering skill level" that looks to do

Did you have them lying around or had to go and spend some "big bucks" to buy them?

Is the little sub board they're on removable? via a cable or slot connector ?

Is there a way to test the PSU board without having to plug it back into the chassis and "risk" blowing something else in the TV?
I'm assuming its like an ATX psu/connector where its looking for some kind of feedback "power good" signal before it gives full power? (and thats what the resistors are part of)

So was that service manual useful in finding the issue? I'm guessing you used the schematics to trace through the boards functions, but how long did it take
to nail it down tho those exact components?

Well I answered my own 1st question looking at my PSU, seems the board is not socketed

I took some pictures of the board on my PSU, it looks different to yours, I suspect a different revision (no idea if older or newer though)

I guess since the board appears to have some brown marks on it, that could indicate some damaged components/solder joints
