I'm off!!!

Post by TWITCHDOCTOR »

I have too many other worries and concerns in my life right now.

For the Metal Heads (such as me) I'm feeling like song number 9 from the band Hammerfall, "Glory To the Brave". Hear it!!!

No, its not about a certain topic, I still play games, just not as much as I used to.
I may return here, but its questionable...

My life is really changing as recent...I'll deal with it, as well as make the most of it. My only refuge is my car, the "Twitchrod/Chevelle". Its going to become faster and even "better".

My "lady friend" who I care much about, might be straying away from me due to past experiences from her past(not mine)

I have a loved one who is on her death bed...any day now.
Its hard for me to play shmups, let alone think about them.
I can't even focus on Vodkatrons new tunes...maybe only one (Green Sun)

The beer can't even supress my emotions inside. I just work and drink. Its time for bed...I have to go to work with little sleep...as always.

I hope you will return one day. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'll miss you.

Take care. I wish you all the best.

The Twitchdoctor will be missed here... Sadly, life is very dark and complicated sometimes, as the tone of your post reflects. Hopefully life will swing back up eventually. Sometimes a change of scenery is beneficial. We'll keep a place here for you to return to if/when you're feeling less burned out sometime in the future.

Best regards,

I could say more shit in the other thread, but having a rough go of it tends to cloud people's thinking, so I'll just pretend you didn't say anything.

Good luck to ya.

By the way, I can't understand why you wouldn't want to wear a seatbelt, they increase your chances of surviving a crash by a significant margin.

Dude, for someone I have never met, and never will, I feel for you believe me. But the work/beer path takes you somewhere that ends up out of your control and may make your life a lot worse... even though it doesn't feel like it could right now. Believe me.

Take care Twitch. I'd like to say 'things only get better', but I'm finding out the hard way that it's not always the case.

The games will wait. Real life is always more important. When you get things sorted out for the better, they'll still be there. As will the rest of us.

I'm watching a close friend of mine self-destruct because of playing too many games and won't re-shuffle his priorities to make real life take precedent. His wife, who absolutely worships the ground he walks on, is ready to walk out on him if he doesn't get his act together and act responsibly. So I do encourage you to take a break from it all and re-find yourself and who you are. Games are fun, online is fun, but life is ths most important thing.

Take care.

this place won't be the same without you...

I too play games a lot less than before... And my grandpa is dying in an hospital right now. Yes, the real life is kinda a mess.

Hey you know what, don't forget you have net friends here... or just "friends" would be more appropriate.

Thanks for the kind words...I probably will visit from time to time.
Also, I''m not trying to act like a little bitch, by saying what I said earlier. Its just that some serious things are going on in my life, and I'm really spending less time with a controller in my hand, as well as the internet.
So, I really won't be one of the "main posters" here anymore.
I'm not upset with anyone here, and I wanted to clarify that.

I haven't played a shmup in months!!!! Perhaps thats what I need?

Oh yea, I was a tad emotional last night when I wrote that post, so please try to relate/understand.

Currently on a "lunch break", times running out...gotta go back to the "Dungeon".

I didn't want to sound cold - What I meant with my last phrase is that we'll be always here for you if you need ^_^ That's what friends are for!

Good luck out there, to you and your Chevelle ;-)

Take care Twitch, life comes first, games are just something we do to get away from it all for awhile. Get life straight, keep your car up, and when you feel like you've fixed things in life and want to return to see how everyone's doing, we'll be here.

At any case, beer is in the fridge, so it will be ready for your return

-_- Take care, Twitchdoctor... Come back to us. No matter what happens, we'll be here to support you. It's what forumites are for. *gives you a completely heterosexual hug*

Don't worry about sounding like a "little bitch". We all have problems in our lives. I know I do. But yours infinitely dwarfs mine, that's for sure; you have every right to vent about it here, and as an "elder" of the pack, you're owed some respect. :)

Sorry to hear about your problems Twitch! :(

Real life can sometimes be a bitch indeed, and you''ll need to focus on dealing with problems there first. If you don't sort them out and come in calmer water you'll have a hard time concentrating on anything else like your music or games.
Just make sure you don't run off into things that temporarily help you surpress the thoughts of your problems but in the end only make your situation worse (drinking away your problems and long period sleep deprivation will "kill"you in the end -- talking from experience here).

Anyway I hope better times will come for you again!

Take care and hopefully you'll return once you have your life sorted out!

Do what you have to do, Doc. You've got plenty on your plate - no need to stress about studio work right now.
Just keep in mind that our door is always open to you whenever you're ready to get back in the game.

Wow, I think the Twitchman has been posting here since well before I first visited in February '99. Sorry to hear about your friend and hope life gets better for ya. Whatever you do, unless you're completely done with the hobby don't sell your games or PCBs. Whether it is about shooters or hot rods, have always enjoyed your posts. Come back soon.
