Need full list of all good 25" CRT TV´s available in EU

Post by Shadolf »

Hello friends,
I`m going to build me some nice Pony Mark III 25 optimized repros.
For this I need a list of all 25" CRT (NON 100Hz) TV´s suitable for gaming.
I already know the "Fudoh's ode to old display technology" thread, but this here is for 25" only.

Additional infos like the manufacturer, type of tube (curved/flat) and number of the used tube would be nice.
Also info about the options regarding geomety etc. in the service menu are welcome.
I´m also interested in your opinion about that CRT´s and please feel free to give any additional infos for the TV´s that are already on the list.
And I would be happy about some screen fotos, to see the scanlines/picture quality :D

I will update the list here:

Sony, KV-25FX20D, Trinitron flat tube , very good TV, nice OSD with many options for screen tweeking
Sony, KV-25X5D , Trinitron curved tube, very good TV, nice OSD with many options for screen tweeking
Sony, KV-25X1 , Trinitron curved tube, FE-1 chassis
Bang & Olufsen, BeoCenter 1, Philips curved tube?,
Bang & Olufsen, BeoVision 1, Philips curved tube?,

All will be very dfficult since there's been so many over the decades!
Sony is safe of course, maybe you could add the KV-25X1 (FE-1 chassis) to your list.

It's useful to note which chassis is used, for instance I can tell that Thomson sets using an ITC008 are a pain since the geometry adjustements are split between the hard-to-accesss service menu and a set of potentiometers.
The 25DG182 I have also doesn't deal well with powerful RGB signals from some PCBs, the colors can be messed up because of it, resitors with a switch will be required.

^ Therefore any other set with that chassis - and maybe other revisions who knows - will be a pain.
