Color issue with Namco Volume 1 PCB

Post by soupbones »

Hey guys -

I recently received a Namco Volume 1 PCB, and discovered the colors look inverted and are streaking.

I tested several PCBs on my cab before and after, and all run fine - it's definitely the board.

Any ideas? I don't have any experience repairing these things, so I'm not even sure where to look.

Doesn't look inverted to me. The streaking is evident, though. I doubt it, but maybe it's clamping related, and h-phase might make a change with it.

True - they aren't really inverted, I think the streaking is throwing off the color.

Any idea on a fix? I don't really understand what you mean by clamping and h-phase. :?

I had the same problem some years ago...the problem is that some electrolytic caps on the namco pcb are going bad:

Exchange C13, C14, C15 and you're all set!
