Wow this sucks - due to a huge blunder from one of the employees of one of my clients, looks like instead of a shmupmeet, I will be working all weekend to try and fix things.

I'd postpone it until Monday, but they're an accounting firm, and this is tax season - they can't wait until Monday.

Business before pleasure, I guess... *sigh*

Had a lot of fun at SoCal hookup #4 with a turnout of about 18 people. Was very honored to have Ramus and BIG join us from the shmups.com forums. Hopefully we'll get more shmuppers to when socal hookup #5 rolls around...

In addition to fighting games, puzzle games and some console action, plenty of shmupping action took place in the form of: Twin Cobra, outzone, Progear, Ketsui, Guwange, Gunsmoke, in the hunt, salamander2, rtype leo, do don pachi, do don pachi doj, and thanks to Ramus: Espgaluda2 and Ibara.
All via pcbs on cabs.. no ports here.

Without a doubt, Espgaluda2 was the crown jewel of the hookup and had everyone's attention when it was fired up in the cab. Truly amazing stuff.

That's cool to hear all those shmup titles were actual arcade PCBs...damn, must have quite an arcade cabinet setup similar to Dave K's, huh? ^_~
