I sure hope everybody will not want to change their nick - it would be terribly messy and boring if there were only 3-character nicks.
Not to mention the confusion it creates, since the nick "Seven Force" will still be around (if somebody has quoted you before, for example), plus all the trader feedback you've received will still read "Seven Force +1".
So yeah, it's not really recommended.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
Would it be alright with you if I requested a nick change from ArrogantBastard to RAR, Ghegs? I'm kind of tired of using ArrogantBastard; it seems so juvenile...
Edit: On a second thought... Nah, let's leave my forum name that way. Everyone knows me by this nick, so I'd rather not create more confusion.
Still, I like the idea of showing our three-letter score somewhere. Kinda like how some people get this nifty "banned" subtitle under their name, only without the ban...
Here seems to a good place to mention that I'm considering changing my hi-score name from the current 'JON', to some kind of three-letter encapsulation of PlasmaDancer. But I don't know how, exactly.
PLD? PSM? PDR?
Any ideas?

i added my score name CLA, since i've been using it forever in arcades and pinball. i kept chtimi to avoid confusion, it isn't a team like AIVA or cowboy
My nick is 3 letters because it was my high-school nickname (short for 'afro' - don't ask). I do use it for high scores in games, though. I'm known as MetalFRO on some other forums (mostly because some of those forums already have a 'FRO' user).

Get the top 4 high scores.
PLA

You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.
I'll be keeping mine as it is. I've been using it on any boards that I've joined for nearly four years now, and I like it. And no, it has nothing to do with that Megas XLR cartoon.

The other boad I post on lets the users add subtitles underneath their usernames. Something like that would work well.

This would be a cool feature. Any chance of it happening though?
But perhaps managing to get one spot on the table should be my first priority, eh? Learn to walk before I run etc etc
Placing our score initials underneath our username would be a nice touch, though, I agree. With scores so much more important in this genre than most others, it makes sense for that to be part of our identity here, too.

Who knows? I don't know how much work it'd be to add it. Any guess?
IINM, the selectable custom title is not an available feature in phpBB and must be added through a mod, which does exist. The difficulty of implementing a mod should be low if it works on our board's phpBB version.
