Question about GBA backlight mods

Post by Royal »

There are plenty of pre-modded Gameboy Advance(s) on ebay, but what if I already have the handheld? Are there any modding services where I can simply ship the device after payment and have it returned when it is done?

you can DIY if you buy the ribbon cable to adapt the new screen from the GBA SP.

It is available on ebay. they cost about 10 bucks. all you need to know if your GBA is 34 Pin or 40 pin.

Get the "5 level brightness" adapter, not a normal one. It's awesome.

Also, salvage a genuine screen from a real AGS-101 if you can. The screens you get as stand alone units on eBay are clones and not very good quality, backlight bleed is a genuine problem with them.
