It could be the same hardware, HD Fury recently rebranded some of their products under the name "Avosta"

It could be, but then the Monoprice listing should say HDFuse instead of HDFury.

I can believe it's a rebrand, but yeah, the product pictures go out of their way to misrepresent the product.

I would like to revisit this again...

Has anyone got the HDFury Gamer 2 to work on a Sony BVM 32" or 24" with a PS4?
I am using the 3D Fury and the regular HDFury 2 and I can not get video from the PS4 on the RGB card on the BVM.. I can get video from every other console except the PS4.. I am thinking on pursuing the SDI to HDMI route for the PS4 if there are not any other solutions.. thanks

You might consider a Linker or an Integral to get around HDCP bullshit.

Isn't the PS4's output HDCP-free for games anyway ? Maybe HDCP needs to be disabled from the PS4's menu ?

Sony broke it, but I was wrong to blame HDCP for the handshake issue.

Here's an explanation of Sony's stupidity:

The HDFury 2 doesn't support firmware updates, so it will still need a Linker or Integral to get a handshake. The HDFury 3 got a firmware update to fix the problem.

Yeah, I think I heard this works. If you want to use your PS4 for Netflix and other HDCP, you'll need to do the firmware upgrade to the Fury
