Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this winter
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
In Fever SOS they fixed the TLB glitch that makes you invincible unless you bomb, but other than that and the title change I don't think there's any difference.

Is that really a glitch? I always thought that was intentional, kinda to be a bit of a tongue-in-cheek stab at the TLB concept.Shepardus wrote:In Fever SOS they fixed the TLB glitch that makes you invincible unless you bomb, but other than that and the title change I don't think there's any difference.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
They forgot to unset the invincibility flag from the end-of-stage thing. It's a bug.

I'm keen if it's bug-free like most of M2's later stuff. Don't own a PS4 but I know someone who does and is a fan. :3
Would like to see an ESPRade port in the future as well as this coming to PC but we'll see I guess.

The first place I went to when I heard about DF!!! A long-lasting gem of the interwebs.rtw wrote:For background and info there is always:

Expecting a $15 price tag and few extras, really. Just a straight port with no arrange or anything special. Disagree?
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
If there is an arrange mode worth a damn I'm going to be tempted as hell to get a PS4

I really hope M2 leaves the bug in. It would probably warrant a leaderboard split, but at the same time would almost never be relevant. Ugh.Shepardus wrote:In Fever SOS they fixed the TLB glitch that makes you invincible unless you bomb, but other than that and the title change I don't think there's any difference.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Considering how thorough they are, they'll probably include both versions entirely.

I want them to go all in, similar to how they handled the Fantasy Zone I & II releases on the 3DS. <3

Had to check the high score thread to make sure I still wasn't dead last.

I've been an arcade & console guy all my life and am suddenly wondering "where's the Steam port?" As hardcore as it would be to buy a PS4 for Dangun that system holds zero interest for me.

At least it is progress of a sort.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
I'm surprised to see there isn't as much discussion about this port as there is the Garegga one, seeing as how this one's never been properly ported before.
Will Dangun be seeing a similar premium package as Garegga? Just out of curiosity.
Honestly, even though I'm a massive Garegga fan, I think I may be even more excited to see this one find a home outside of the arcade, perhaps only because I've never had the chance to play it.

Glad this port isn't dead I was getting worried for awhile.
A Hardcore gamers reaction to the Lack of Kinect games. Apparently i could of played Dodonpachi with it if i beat a entirely in Japanese Visional Novel piece of shit game called Instant Brain

I was the same as you. Ive been playing retro almost exclusively for several years now and had no interest in the modern stuff. However the PS4 has accumulated SO MANY variety of exclusives that I had to pick one up this past black Friday. If shmups is your only interest , then clearly there are other systems to get into. But if you love your variety like I do , then you can not deny PS4's ability to give everyone and their mother something to enjoy. Havent been this excited for PlayStation since the PS1 era.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Has there been any news on this or word of a delay? Spring technically starts a week from today, so it looks like they won't hit the originally-announced "winter" timeframe.

I don't think there's been any news at all regarding Feveron since the ShotTriggers announcement. Half tempted to call it dead in the water, but maybe M2's been focusing on something else recently.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
I can't tell you when it's going to come out or if they won't release something else beforehand but it's definitely not dead and I don't think we'll have to wait too much longer for an update.

Didn't M2 take like 2 years to do Fantasy Zone 2? Of course that was a next-level concept, but they're not one to rush.

Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
Nothing confirmed yet. As has been said a bunch of times in the Garegga thread, though, it almost literally could not be any easier to buy things from Japan PSN and still play them on your primary account. The only remotely annoying part is having to buy points cards online. If you want to play these games, there's not much of a reason to wait for a US release, aside from having English menus. (And besides, if they instead put out a disc version that you imported instead of downloading it, you'd still have the same problem.)2dvertical wrote:Are we talkng usa release of this ( and battle garrega for that matter)? I really wish they released this stuff on pc
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
All you need to do is get a jpn account + a points card. Games once bought + installed will appear for your non-jpn account. Assuming for some wierd reason you don't make another console your primary, and leave your jpn account logged in on it forever...2dvertical wrote:Are we talkng usa release of this ( and battle garrega for that matter)? Frankly, even more so than Garegga, this coming out at all is a miracle.
If you take it as given that any licensing/QA/support are a necessity in terms of meeting a platform's minimum standard, it could be argued that the possibility of putting out releases with restricted requirements (and for less cost) helps make such niche releases even feasible (either physically or digitally). And you've basically reserved the right to expand territories / sub-license it out to a publisher should it become a decent seller... if you don't want to do the deed yourself, justifying a license cost becomes a lot easier to another publisher if you can point to the sales you made already in another territory.

Shock, it's been pushed back to spring: http://m2stg.com/dangun-feveron/
Just a few screenshots for the moment but they give away a little info. Cave's next matsuri takes place at the end of April, so expect a big update around then.
(check the page source for a laugh, too...)

Is it just me or do the wallpaper stats look *a little bit* oversaturated with info?
(Not really complaining though, I'm happy they do their thing)

I'm happy as long as they keep the Discomen meter in the bottom left corner.
Re: Dangun Feveron PS4, ported/published by M2, out this win
I wonder how Fever Mode is going to play. The base value in the corner there is vastly higher than you could get normally, so

One of the screenshots shows an "FM Arrange" soundtrack, which I am very much looking forward to hearing.
