It's encouraging to see these types of collaborations if the end result is an overall better game due to more resources and a little synergy. A little more detail in the polygons—as seen with Treasures and G-Rev's Ikaruga/Gradius V collaboration- would be nice as well.

Why was it a dumb thread?
Look at the poll. It was biased against Skonec from the start. The've only made, what, 3 games, and 2 are on the way. They've proven themselves, I think they deserve better than "they're ok".
