R.C Berg's Dengeki Hobby photos of Ketsui ship

Post by Aleksei »

I was on the R.C Berg website and I read that details would be in the June 2009 Dengeki Hobby Magazine for the TYPE-A-AH-Y72. I got into shmups at the end of that year so I didn't realize that I had that issue (I'm a huge Gundam fan). Thats the only one I have since that was the last issue i paid for but if anyone is interested in seeing the pages let me know and I will post them if there is enough interest. I say that because I'm lazy and the photos are the same as from the website except the watermarks and a few extra photos I think, and details in Japanese.

This reminds me, I took a video of Kotobukiya's Cave goods selection the weekend before Christmas. I'm sure some guys on here will make fun of me for not knowing the kanji to Daifukkatsu or Daioujou, but I bet you guys would like to see the goods they had there. I did see some Cave-related plastic models, and even after the discount, they were rather expensive.

I always though that the Ketsui choppers would look better as fighter jets; they look like an awkward combination of a fighter jet and a helicopter. They are still awesome, though. :P

The only thing that looks awkward IMO is the colours. Never liked it being orange, thought Green was a much better colour for it.

Thanks for the pictures though, it's definitely an interesting look-see. Seems quite "accurate", one might say.

Every bump on a thread about R.C Berg Ketsui models is just a sad reminder of how i'll never own any of them

I was born in Riga and have family there, is there an arcade there with shmups? Or do you collect?

Collecting, forever collecting. Arcade is pretty much dead in Riga, though we still have a few halls operating.

Those Ketsui models look ace. Is that listed 4/30/2017 date the release date?

And do these R.C. Berg Ketsui models require plastic modeller's glue to put them together?

These are up for preorder on 1999.co.jp too. Not sure if they're resins or plastic. You'd think there would be more excitement for commercially available Ketsui models.

I love Ketsui, but I think that the 'real life' models look weird.

About the DDP DOJ kit, does it look alright if you assembly without painting?

I've made plenty of kits from back in the day, but I can't be done with buying tons of paint and an airgun.
