"Presented without comment". I love it :D

(Also, in before "but whats this got to do with gamergate?")

In defense of the the companies who dropped him; I see no issue with their reasoning. If they felt that Pewdiepie's behaviour was not in their best interest, then thats their business.
The rest, though, is pure gamergate and if one cant see that by now, one never will.

I haven't been following this very closely but I knew this thread would be bumped.

I read something interesting on the reddits the other day:
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson wrote:The SJW Game

1. Identify an area of human activity
2. Note a distribution of success
3. Identify winners and losers
4. Claim the losers are losing only because they are oppressed by the winners
5. Claim allegiance with the losers
6. Feel secure in your comprehensive explanation of the world
7. Revel in your moral superiority
8. Target your resentment towards your newly discovered enemies
9. Repeat. Forever. Everywhere.
^If anyones still confused as to how 'ethics in journalism' and 'wow, sjws are shit' crosses over.

Boogie, Jontron, Defranco and Sargon all in the same stream talking about Pewdiepie. Goodness.

I haven't paid much attention to this thread, so forgive me if this has been said before (though even if it has, it bears repeating).

Something that hit me the other day as I was reading up a bit on GamerGate is that it really did serve as a forewarning to the tactics used by the media in the 2016 election: namely, to attack a group with relentless guilt tripping, and when it initially fails, double down and try to swipe the rug from under them.

What made me draw this connection was rewatching the clip of Jon Stewart where he goes on about how Trump supporters don't own America. The desperation and blatant overplaying of his hand reminded me of when Leigh Alexander claimed that gamers are dead. The demoralization tactics at play could not be any more transparent: tell your opposition that what they're fighting for isn't theirs/real, then claim that anyone and everyone is entitled to a stake in your realm.

It's just funny how of all things, gaming journalism was used as a testbed for this. What's even funnier is how after its spectacular failure, nobody seemed to take heed of this, and the results have been immensely entertaining.

The ongoing Brianna Wu Show is approaching perfection. Thank you for bringing David Lynch, David Cronenberg and John Waters movies into the real world, Brianna.

For newbies, please keep in mind while watching the below episode that Revolution 60: Special Edition remains unfinishably broken six months post-release, unless mouse control is disabled. Brianna is either too incompetent or apathetic to adjust the time limit on the last boss's QTE, you see. #godzillaofTechFeminism #strongwomenintech #wu4congress2018

Love the cash grab at the end. Eyes on the (next) prize! Image

I wonder how long pewdiepie has been on a diet of red pills? He is giving them away to his 53,783,040 subscribers for free right now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTCDfE_sKnM
Nice move WSJ, Gawker says hi!
Ballsy move calling out Ben Fritz by name and smart to stick to only digestible facts about him.
And with Fritz bringing it right back to GG, i'll leave it there.

Where have all the normal, sensible, and reasonable people gone? The world has been run over by wingnut Trumpskyites and professional victim SJWs living in their respective fantasies where they just whine about made-up shit.

"Normal" people are the reason we're in the mess we are. Don't let your normalcy bias trick you into thinking otherwise. Nobody is off the hook anymore.

I think, reading between the lines, the question was more "why is the world full of morons".

All I said about you is that you have a normalcy bias, as evidenced by your desperate cry for "normal" people to converse with.

If you want to talk with normal people, go outside. Go to a steel mill or a factory or a welding shop. You'll get your fill of normalcy, I promise.

Just wanted to state for the record that in the Milo vs. Anita rivalry, Anita won.

As annoying as SJWs can get, they're still way smarter than Uncle Toms.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"
