SONY BKM-68X Price

Post by alfshusen »

The price is steep for this rare card, twice the price than a BVM-A20F1U:

Haha, TOTALLY worth it!

From what I've heard, the A model BVM monitors have issues with sync. The D20F1U will do HD signals if that is needed and the F1Us obviously handle any SD signal.

I don't see the appeal of the A20s I guess. Just seems like a headache to me.

Amazing.

I found one on ebay 3 years ago for less than $100.

Must remember to sell the card separately if I ever get rid of the monitor!

Yep, massive headache. See here for more info http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=57929

I wouldn't be surprised if there are more consoles (especially PAL consoles) that have sync issues with the A series BVM's in conjunction with the BKM-68X input card and you can probably forget about using it with a GroovyMAME / CRT EmuDriver / Soft-15kHz set-up as well.

I have seen it for sale between $ 300 - 650.00

I doubt they got it. http://www.fhvideo.com/item.php?id=55/BKM68X

The prices for this equipment is really escalating.

Glad i bought my monitors in time.
