Wow, nice:

I hope they make some action figures based on this series.

I'm a sucker for steampunk and Transformers.

I kinda figured Optimus Prime would be a train if he was in the steampunk age.

Speaking for alternate Transformers themes, did anyone else here find Beast Wars lame? And Armada was stupid too, they go around and collect the MiniCons, kinda like in Pokemon. Lame.

I think these look great :) Always was a fan of the original Transformers, still got a collection of them in my parents attic. Does anyone remember Transformers The Movie? I saw that one three times at the cinema. I still can't get over Optimus Prime being dead - that's like, worse than the whole Aeris thing.

Armada wasn't up to much, the video game was pretty awesome though and the collecting minicons theme fitted right in.

The Energon and now Cybertron lines are pretty cool. (toy-wise, not too sure about the cartoon series) Binaltech/Alternators are the best of the bunch though.
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

Pokemon is exactly what I thought of. The whole "gotta catch em all" theme is so overused in anime, and is rarely ever good (like Cardcaptor Sakura).

Speaking of alternate Transformers, I don't know if they ever had a cartoon/comic book for the Alternators series, but I have Shockwave with a body of a Mazda RX-8. Very cool looking. He stands on top of my toy shelf.

I'm not a big toy collector, or Transformer fan in general, but my friend is. I'm sure he's already seen these, but I'll point them out to him most definitely as they look great. And those sketches are begging to be made into figures.

EDIT: And I concur, the Beast Wars series was fucking retarded. Said friend watches the cartoons and has most of the toys and I make fun of them constantly to his dismay.
