From what I could understand, it was relesead for free on EGG, but I can't find download links anywhere.

Project EGG games are just emulators that launch one specific game. Like Wii Virtual Console, just for PCs. This version of Aleste 2 is just the MSX version running on their custom emulator. It does have an English version, but just a hack. Some Project EGG games are free to download, but you need to have an account with them first.

Around ten years ago, D4 was working with a Dutch initiative called Woomb to distribute MSX games on PC to international audiences, including newly-translated versions of the Aleste games, Golvellius, Xak, etc--in other words, the English versions were officially sanctioned at one point but they're not genuine translations from back in the day or what have you.

I'm mostly interested on this because of the english translation, since there's no translation of the original game. Can I find this anywhere?
