Hey There,
So i have been using my PVM 20m2mdu for a few weeks now, and randomly out of the blue, the light on the top of the PVM turned green.
It is extremely distracting and is driving me nuts. I can't figure out how to turn it off or understand why it turned on.
Anyone have any idea how to turn it off?
What does it mean exactly? And why would it randomly turn on?
Thanks so much in advance

I don't know why it would turn on, but it can be controlled by grounding the appropriate pin on the remote control port on the back of the monitor. In fact, that's the only way that I know of to control the tally lamp.

Does it mean anything bad or is wrong with the monitor? Or can i just put a piece of electrical tape over it and call it a day :p ?
Thanks BTW i appreciate it.
I just find it weird, it randomly turned on. And if the only way to turn it on is by grounding pins, how in the hell could this have happened lol

No idea how it could have happened. Some sort of glitch or power surge? I'd look up the manual for your PVM (the remote pinout should be in the regular manual rather than the service manual) and just short the appropriate pins. IIRC most PVMs also let you configure in the menu which pins are for which functions, so make sure that the tally pins haven't been changed.
