Bandridge Sync Loss on SNES?

Post by Kilokahn »

Hello,

I have a XRGB Mini and I wanted to get a switcher to compliment it (saves from unplugging/plugging in). I bought a Bandridge auto switcher, this exact one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201712545146

Previously I plugged in my Dreamcast Toro into it and had no problems. Picture looked fine and it played well enough.

Today I plugged in my SNES (with this cable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201284360714) and put in my Super Game Boy 2 in with the Game Boy Camera and it looked like hot garbage...

Now I did unplugged the SNES from the Bandridge and plugged it directly into the XRGB Mini and it looks fine.

Some odd points: It's not always happening, it just seems like when the screen does something that the switcher does not like that it bugs out until that screen is done. It bugs out just the same at the end of the Konami intro on Gradius III.

Any ideas why? If you need I can make a video as well.

Thanks!

I haven't had any issues with the bandridge auto-switcher with my SNES (or any other consoles) going to a PVM or OSSC, but some revisions of the switch are known to have issues.

I suggest contacting Voultar (most easily reached on Twitter), as he's got experience with fixing various revisions of this particular switch.
