Gamecube HDMI Mod Chip & Instructions

Hi.

I'm looking for advice on modding my Gamecube with HDMI.

I want to do it as a DIY project.

Specifically, I'd like advice on which mod chip to buy. It seems like there are a lot of options to choose from. I'm not sure what differences the variety of chips offer, or if there is a consensus as to which chip is the best.

Ideally, I'd like for the HDMI port to replace the component port, so that I can avoid cutting out a chunk of the enclosure.

Also, I'm hoping for a chip that comes with clear instructions.

What you are referring to doesn't exist yet. Badassconsoles has exactly what you want but hasn't released anything yet. But I've heard its close

Then there is the pluto board. More details can be found on the GC-Video github. You are pretty much on your own with reguards to installing this.

Badass consoles had problems with suppliers of the flex cable used in his install, and the delivery has been delayed by several months, to the consternation of many (and rightly so IMO due to his very limited communication). Apparently though, this is now resolved and orders should start going out in the next few weeks. This is detailed in another thread here.

It's pretty cheap and he has very detailed installation instructions.

I understand the difference between his A AND D. But is there an explanation as to to the difference between ez pak and D-101 ?

They are all EZ-Pack's.

The A101 and D101 are designed around the Gamecube revision 101, where they don't have the digital port.
